'Sex and the City' star Cynthia Nixon has joined the cast of the ITV follow-up to the Quentin Crisp drama 'The Naked Civil Servant'.
The new show, 'An Englishman in New York', will feature film Nixon acting performance creative person and dramatist Penny Arcade.
John Hurt will again play Crisp in the drama, which is being filmed in New York and picks up where the 1970s classic 'The Naked Civil Servant' ended.
Arcade formed a close bond with Crisp in the latter years of his life, helping him to bring forth 'The Last Will and Testament of Quentin Crisp'.
Executive producer James Burstall said: "Choosing to frivol away the photographic film in New York was a high-risk decision as the drama industry whole kit and caboodle very other than in the US from the UK.
"But the huge amount of strategic planning and the leap of faith ar delivering a first rate calibre of cast."
